European Parliament Elections 2009 - Things'n'Stuff
This post contains some assorted things'n'stuff, I had to create in my tenure at the Austrian Society for European Politics in the wake of the European Parliament election 2009.
www.mehr-demokratie-fuer-europa.at
This informational mini-site was created to promote participation in the European Parliament Elections of 2009. It was accompanied by a touring exhibition and a brochure displaying voter turnout of EU-related elections in Austria. The site was created carefully handcrafting HTML/CSS and with a little bit of jQuery in the mix. The site was taken offline in spring of 2010.

Gemeinden im Focus
This accompanying brochure was a daunting exercise in combining Adobe Illustrator and MS Excel to present:
- data on voter turnout, and YES-votes of the Austrian 1994 EU-referendum,
- the voter turnout data for the previous EU-elections in 1996, 1999 and 2004 and
- the difference in the election stakes between 1996 and 2004 broken down by provinces, districts and counties.
It was first presented at the European Forum Alpach in 2008.
EU Quiz Deluxe
This flash/actionscript trivia application (the first and hopefully last I'll ever do) was created for a booth at a fair for the elderly in the fall of 2008 in Vienna. It takes questions and multiple choice answers related to the European Union from XML-formatted file and outputs them randomly. The application at the booth ran on a HD-TV set and was controlled by color-coded keys on a customized USB-keypad.
